The topic of disruptive team members came up recently, thought I would share my views…
Let me be blunt; If you, as the leader, have people in your business, dept or team who are confrontational, not collaborative, poor performing and causing problems for the business, who do you think is the “owner” of that problem, you or them?!
As the leader you have to fix it.
This can’t be a problem that drags on.
How can you have the same problem week after week, month after month? It’s unacceptable.
Apart from the adverse business impact, it is wreaking havoc for your personal leadership brand.
If you want a great team, you have to be a great leader; and that means building a high performance culture by attracting and developing the available talent; so that everyonepulls in the same direction.
There is just no place for adversarial players…or “tolerating” leaders….
Pretty straightforward in my view!
